So as the Raptors hold on to a 3-1 lead over the Warriors in the Finals, there are a couple things that need discussing.

Kevin Durant Situation

If Kevin Durant never would’ve gotten injured, the series could’ve possibly been over right now or the the Warriors would be on top. The reason why they are in this slump is not only because of their Finals appearance revolving around KD, it is because of Klay’s absence as well. Featuring back over to KD, this monster has been averaging 34.2 points per game this season in the playoffs.

Raptors Being The Raptors

Obviously, the Raptors mainly revolve around star, Kawhi Leonard. But the Raptors are being their own selves this Finals. Kawhi doing his thing as always has helped the Raps remain victorious through 4 games. In my opinion, Kawhi has been playing better basketball than he has his whole career. Pascal Siakam is I think indefinitely the front runner for Most Improved. VanVleet, prior to his injury, has been an underrated monster lately. Don’t forget Marc Gasol either, he is manning up that center position and creating the mismatch down low.

In conclusion, if KD wasn’t out this Finals the page would have been flipped. The Raptors are playing their best basketball recently which has them higher up on the podium looking down at the Warriors.
